Planning can be connection.
Conversations about priorities, finances, family, and traditions are opportunities to know each other more deeply.
A relationship-first approach to wedding planning
Before the guest list, the budget, and the endless decisions, discover what will make your wedding truly meaningful to both of you.
Discover what matters. Dream together. Plan with purpose.
A different place to begin
Wedding planning usually starts with what to book, what to buy, and what everyone else expects. Meaningful starts one step earlier: with honest conversations about what you want, what you value, and how you hope the day will feel.
Because clarity makes every decision that follows more intentional, from your guest list and budget to the traditions you keep and the ones you make your own.
The most meaningful wedding isn’t the one that has everything. It’s the one that celebrates what matters most.
Our signature methodology
Your wedding should reflect what matters most to you. The Compass helps each of you explore your own perspective, then come together to create one shared direction.
Explore each partner’s individual values, dreams, and priorities.
Uncover why preferences matter and what experiences shaped them.
Find common ground, navigate differences, and set thoughtful boundaries.
Choose where to invest your time, energy, and budget together.
Bring your shared vision to life within your real circumstances.
From separate dreams to shared direction
The Meaningful Compass guides you through solo reflection and partner conversations, then brings your shared vision, priorities, compromises, and boundaries into My Compass.
What we believe
Planning is one of the first significant projects many couples take on together. The process can reveal dreams, expectations, fears, and values worth understanding long after the celebration ends.
Conversations about priorities, finances, family, and traditions are opportunities to know each other more deeply.
Listening well and creating space for both perspectives can produce a vision that truly belongs to both of you.
An intimate gathering and an elaborate celebration can be equally meaningful when spending reflects genuine priorities.
Family and friends can enrich a wedding while the couple remains at the heart of the celebration.
Our story
“What do you want your wedding to feel like?”
As a wedding venue founder, Laurie Ellen met couples surrounded by inspiration and expectations who still weren’t sure what they actually wanted. Years later, planning her own wedding made the opportunity even clearer: wedding decisions can help two people understand how to make decisions together.
Meaningful was created to give couples the clarity, language, and shared direction to plan a celebration that feels authentically theirs.
